Ryunosuke Yamazumi
Originally from Japan, Ryunosuke Yamazumi is a multidisciplinary circus artist who has diversified and perfected his skills over the years. His first passion is juggling, which he discovered in Japan as a teenager.
At the age of 22, he made the bold decision to move to Quebec to train and specialize in this field at the École de Cirque de Québec. He didn’t speak a word of French, but he had an irresistible desire to become a circus artist.
Ryu has since developed artistic expertise in ball juggling, Chinese pole, and tree balancing acts.
He has taken part in training courses to develop skills in the complementary fields of theater, dance, and singing.
Ryunosuke collaborates and contributes to numerous artistic projects and has participated in multiple international festivals.
Ryu’s performances have won numerous prestigious awards around the world. He is now recognized by his peers as an artist with great skills and abilities, but also for his creativity and great humanity.
His perseverance over the past 25 years speaks for itself. Also a singer and musician, Ryunosuke Yamazumi is a circus artist brimming with passion and talent. He now wishes to continue his professional journey by creating a new show that will allow him to develop his sensitivity, showcase his culture and Japanese origins, and demonstrate his artistic excellence.
